LONDON GAZETTE, May 8. Copenhagen, April 17. The King of Denmark has been pleated to make a new arrangement in his Council of State, in which the Prince Royal took his feat on the 14th. That Council now confifts of his Royal Highnefs, with Prince Frederic, the King's brother, and the following members: Count Thott, Monf. de Rofencrantz, Monf. de Schack Rathlou, Count de Bernitoff, General Heth, and Monf. de Stampe.

LONDON GAZETTE, May 15. Whiteball, May 15. The following intelligence from the East Indies, received by his Majefty's fhip Crocodile, has been tranfmitted to the Right Hon. Lord Sydney, his Majefty's principal Secretary of State for the home department.

Bombay C.file, Dec. 30, 1783. His Majefty's fhip Crocodile arrived the 26th inftant from Bengal and Madras. She left Bengal about the middle of November, but has brought no advice from the Governor General and Council. A letter received by her from the Select Committee at Madras, dated the 4th inft. gives an account of the progrefs of Mefirs. Sadlier and Staunton, and of fome freps actually taken in the mutual evacuation of the conquefts. The General of Tippoo Saib's army in the Carnatic was in full march to the Changamah Pafs, accompanied by thefe gentlemen; and their arrival is mentioned by Tippoo Saib in his letters to General Macleod as an event that will bring with it a certainty of peace.

Some boats with fepoys having been wrecked near Cannanore, in the late bad weather upon the Malabar coaft, and about 200 of them feized and detained by the Biddy, notwithstanding repeated applications made for their relate, both by General Macleod, and the Refident of Tillicherry; and the Cannanore government being on all occafions inimical to the Company, the General, immediately after the relief of Mangalore, declared his intention to take fatisfaction for thefe injuries. In a letter received within thefe few days, we are advised of the place being taken, and promifed further particulars in a fhort time; but in this letter the General mentions that the Nabob Tippoo Saib had defired him to defift; and claimed the Biddy as his ally the General however affures us that no bad confequences will enfqe.

The feparate treaty with Mhadajee Scindia is arrived. The President and Select Committee have juft received a letter from the Pefhwa, in anfwer to theirs, wherein he expreffes his full acquiefcence in the treaty, and his readiness to join with the English in offenfive measures against Tippoo Saib, fhould he fail in performing the conditions required from him.

Bombay Cafile, Jan. 10, 1784. Late laft pight difpatches arrived from Erigadier Ge

neral Macleod, dated on board the Ranger Snow, off Mangalore, the 28th and 29th uit.

In the first the General gives a particular detail of the capture of Cannanore, and in the fecond advifes, in general terms, that the negotiations for peace were going on, and that Tippoo Saib had not refufed permiffion to revictual Mangalore, which fervice the General was then performing, the boats being in the river, and the veffels under way with the provifions for Ondre.

Conftantinople, April 10. Letters from Smyrna mention, that the plague has again broken out in that neighbourhood in a manner really alarming.

Leghorn, April 30. The fhip Great Dut chefs of Tufcany has been fortunately recovered in the port of Cherri, in the Idland of Zant, by the care of the British Confel and Agent. The Captain's wife, Mr. William Aftley, Mr. Clark, a Jew paffenger, and an English failor are all fafe. There were the only perfons left on board with the pirates when the Captain and the reft of the crew abandoned the veffel. The three pirates have been executed, by order of the Venetian Go

vernor.
