That H. B. No. 140, by Mr. Fishback-"A bill for an act to provide that the word "telegraph" wherever it occurs in the laws of Wyoming, shall be construed to include the word "telephone," do pass.

That H. B. No. 141, by Mr. Fishback-"A bill for an act to amend and re-enact Sections 5422, 5423, 5424, 5425, 5426 of the Revised Statutes of Wyoming, of 1899, relating to the proceedings in error in criminal cases," do pass.

That H. B. No. 147, by Mr. Wilson-"A bill for an act to create a commission to investigate the subject of arbitration and provide compensation for the same," do pass.

That H. B. No. 148, by Mr. Hicks-"A bill for an act fixing the time for advertising for sale real property upon which taxes are delinquent for the preceding year or years," do pass.

That H. B. No. 142, by Mr. Fourt-"A bill for an act to amend and re-enact Section 717 of the Revised Statutes of Wyoming, relating to the Wyoming National Guard," do pass.

That H. B. No. 137, by Mr. Reid (by request)-"A bill for an act to amend and re-enact Sections 2105, 2106, 2107, 2110 and 2114 of the Revised Statutes of Wyoming, relating to game," be amended as follows:

Strike out the word "January" in line 9, Section 3, and insert "December 15th" in lieu thereof, and as so amended that the bill be reported back without recommendation.

That H. B. No. 46, by Mr. Cooper-"A bill for an act providing for the rewriting, compilation, publication and distribution of a certain pamphlet heretofore edited by the secretary of state, and commonly known as 'The State of Wyoming,' having a special reference to the resources of the state and making an appropriation therefor," do pass.

On motion of Mr. Nichols further consideration of H. B. No. 131, by Mr. Reed-"A bill for an act providing for pure foods, drugs and drinks, and to create the office of a state food and dairy commissioner, a state chemist, and defining their respective duties and powers, and prescribing penalties for the enforcement of this act," was indefinitely postponed. On motion of Mr. Guernsey the Senate then stood in recess until 7:30 o'clock p. m.

The senate was called to order at 7:30 o'clock p. m.
Mr. Vice President in the chair.

A quorum not appearing Mr. Nichols moved a call of the Senate.

The roll call being called showed the following present: Present-Griffin, Guernsey, Hawk, McBride, Nichols, Osmond, Sullivan, Verbryck, Williams and Mr. Vice President. Absent-Black, Brittain, Davis, Madden, McGill, Rusk, Thomas, Stone-8.

Mr. Nichols moved that further proceedings under the call be dispensed with.

CONSIDERATION OF BILLS ON GENERAL FILE.

On motion of Mr. McGill the Senate resolved itself into a Committee of the Whole for the consideration of bills on the general file, Mr. Verbryck being called to the chair.

On rising the Committee of the Whole presented the following report:

On motion of Mr. Davis the report of the Committee of the Whole was accepted.

On motion of Mr. Sullivan further consideration of H. B. No. 137, by Mr. Reid (by request)—"A bill for an act to amend and re-enact Sections 2105, 2106, 2107, 2110 and 2114 of the Revised Statutes of Wyoming, relating to game," was indefinitely postponed.

SUSPENSION OF THE RULES.

Moved by Mr. Guernsey that the rules be suspended for the purpose of reading House Bills Nos. 141, 140, 142, 147 and 148 second and third time by title only and placing the same on their final passage.

A roll call being had on the motion to suspend the rules, the same resulted as folows:

Ayes-Black, Davis, Griffin, Guernsey, Hawk, Iredale, Madden, McBride, McGill, Nichols, Osmond, Sullivan, Thomas, Verbryck, Williams, Mr. President-16.

The following House Bills were then read second and third time by title only, placed on their final passage and passed by the vote indicated:
