The fields provide me food, and thew
The goodness of the Lord ;
In thy most holy word.
Here my best comfort lies ;
And hence my hopes arise.

On the SABBATH.
O long expected day! begin ;

And does thy cup with love o'erflow!
And let them all thy sweetness know. Hail sacred feast, which Jesus makes !
Rich banquet of his Alesh and blood ! Thrice happy he, who here partakes
That facred stream, that heav'nly food,
Before unwilling hearts display'd ?
forbid the children's bread ?' O let thy table honour'd be,
And furnish'd well with joyful guests;
That here its facred pledges tastes.
With hearts inflam'd let all attend :
The pleasure or the profit end. Revive thy dying churches, LORD,
And bid our drooping graces live, And more that energy afford,
A Saviour's blood alone can give.
Oh for a long of ardent praise
To bear our souls above !
Or damp our flaming love?
And bring us yet more near ;
And taste thy mercies here.
Dispose us for the feast;
Thro' Jefu's bleeding breast,
In such a scene as this,

For angels no such love have known
T'awake a chearful song.
And peace on earth is given ;
With messages from heaven.
His rising beams adorn;
Now such a child is born.
In highest worlds be paid ;
And by our lives display'd.
Where CHRIST exalted reigns ;
Their own immortal strains ?
With blessings crowns the op'ning year,

On the PASSION.
That earth and heav'n amaze ?
? Not thus did Sinal's trembling head
With sacred horror nod, Beneath the dark påvilion spread
Of the descending God !
Thou Thou earth, thy lowest centre shake;
With Jesu sympathize
'Tis thy Creator dies!
Of this vindictive hour?
As he alone had pow'r !
His all-atoning blood !
11.! For me these pangs his soul affail, visu. For me the death is borne !

Break, Lord, the tyrant's chains
ESUS Christ is risen to day; Hallelujah
