PSALM XLV. Part Second. How shall the young preserve their ways By making still their course of life With fervent zeal for thee we seek, Safe in our hearts, and closely hid, PSALM XLVI FROM Sion's hill my help descends, To God I lift mine eyes; My strength on him alone depends, Who form'd the earth and skies. THEY, who a race unblest shall rear, If God to shield the house forbear, Why rise ye early, late take rest, Know to thy sons, that round thee stand, Nor arrows in the giant's hand, H PSALM XLVII. How great must their enjoyment be, This love is like the precious oil Which, pour'd on Aaron's head, Ran down his beard and o'er his robes Its costly moisture shed, "Tis like refreshing dew, which does On Hermon's top distil; Or like the early drops that fall On Sion's fruitful hill. PSALM XLIX. BEHOLD, and have regard, Ye servants of the Lord, Who in his house by night do watch, Lift up your heads on high And give the Lord his praises due, For why? the Lord our God, Who heav'n and earth did frame, Doth Sion bless, and will preserve For evermore the same. |
