ALL the feveral parts of Nature correfpond with each other. Under the fhade of these mighty vegetables walk the elephant and rhinoceros. The unrelenting heat of the tropical fun is, as it were, reflected in the untameable fiercenefs of the beasts of prey which spread defolation far and wide through the defarts of these regions; and in the exalted rage and venom of the numerous ferpents with which they are infested.
