which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments.

Be ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations ; even of the covenant which he made with Abraham, and of his oath to Isaac, and confirmed the same to Jacob for a law.

Blessed is the man, whosoever he be, whether Israelite or stranger, that joineth himself to the Lord, and taketh hold of his covenant, even that everlasting covenant, which God hath made with us in Christ; the new covenant, of which Jesus is the Mediator.

Come, therefore, and let us join ourselves unto the Lord, in a perpetual covenant that shall not be forgotten.

Jesus commanded his disciples to bap

He hath said also, that except a man be born again of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Repent ye therefore, and be baptized, every one of

you, in the name of Jesus Christ, for the remission of your sins.

? If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest be baptized.

1

We are all baptized into one body.

2 As

many as have been baptized into Christ, have put on Christ.

3

So many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ, were baptized into his death. Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death; that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For he that is dead is freed from sin.

4

Baptism doth now save us, (not the putting away the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience towards God) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

5

After that the kindness and love of God our Saviour towards man appeared; not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.

"The Lord Jesus the same night in which Supper. he was betrayed, took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to his disciples, saying: Take, eat, this is my body, which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. same manner also he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; for this is my blood of the New Testament, which is shed for you and for many, for the remission of sins: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of For as often as ye eat this bread and drink

1 Jesus said unto the Jews, I am the living bread, which came down from heaven. If any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. Except therefore ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; for my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. It is the Spirit that quickeneth, the flesh profiteth nothing.

2

The cup of blessing which we bless, (saith St. Paul) is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? And the bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? For we being many, are one bread and one body; for we are all partakers of that one bread.

3 What shall I render unto the Lord for all his benefits towards me? I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the Lord. I will pay my vows unto the Lord, in the presence of all his people.

4

Whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

5 Let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh

Holy Days.

HOLY DAYS, FEASTS, AND FASTS.

2 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. In six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day; wherefore the Lord blessed the seventh day, and hallowed it.

4

Upon the first day of the week the disciples of Christ came together, to break bread, and to hear the word preached.

"There is a day of feasting and gladness; and a day for a man to afflict his soul.

"Thou shalt honour the Lord on his holy day; not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words.

'Turn not again to the weak and beggarly elements of the world, by observing those days, and months, and times, and years, which the Jews observed.

8

One man esteemeth one day above another; another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. But he that regardeth a day, let him regard it unto the Lord.

Upon the first day of the week, which is called the Lord's day, let every one of you lay by him in store as God hath prospered him.

Thou shalt rejoice before the Lord thy God, in all that thou puttest thine hand unto.

* What will ye do in the solemn day, and in the day of the feast of the Lord? It is a day of gladness, and feasting, and a good day; a day of joy, and of sending portions one to another, and gifts to the poor.

' Christ our passover is sacrificed for us; therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. This is the day which the Lord hath made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.

6

When thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind, and thou shalt be blessed for they cannot recompense thee; but thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.

'Let there be no spots in your feasts of charity.

Let us humble our souls with fasting, and afflict ourselves before our God, to seek of him a right way for us.
