SCRIPTURE READERS' SOCIETY

FOR IRELAND,

27 LOWER PEMBROKE STREET, DUBLIN.

Now in its Fiftieth or Jubilee Year.

[blocks in formation]

The above Society was established for the spread of the Gospel, and for the reading of God's Word throughout Ireland, in the year 1822. Never was there so great an opportunity in Ireland for reading the Scriptures to the people. Open doors are now to be found, and attentive hearers, to whom our Scripture Readers could not get access before.

The following is an extract from The Christian, a London Paper, of the 27th of March, 1873:-"There is surely no better way of teaching our Irish fellow-subjects than by simple, humble, God-loving, earnest Scripture Readers."

The work is carried on in a spirit of love, and not of controversy. Extract from The Daily Express, Dublin, of the 1st of April, 1873:- -"THE SCRIPTURE READERS' SOCIETY FOR IRELAND is now in the fiftieth year of its existence, and is in want of funds. It has borne the burden and heat of the day, and done good service unostentatiously, when there was no similar agency at work in Ireland.

The Committee most earnestly call upon all Christian friends for enlarged Subscriptions to enable them to extend this most important work in Ireland.

Subscriptions or Donations will be thankfully received and acknowledged in London at the PROVINCIAL BANK OF IRELAND, 42, Old Broad Street; in Edinburgh, by the Rev. T. D. K. DRUMMOND; and in Dublin, by the Treasurer, the PROVINCIAL BANK OF IRELAND, or by the Secretary, Captain KEARNEY WHITE, 37, Lower Pembroke Street, Dublin; and also to the Manager of this paper, to whom remittances can be made, and from whom the Society's Regulations, and every information regarding its operations, can be obtained.

HOLLOWAY'S PILLS

[graphic]

All our Faculties.-Almost all disorders of the human body are distinctly traceable to impure blood. The purification of that fluid is the first step towards health. Hollo

way's Pills, are not only recommended, but recommend themselves to the attention of all sufferers; no injurious consequences can result from their use, no mistake can be made in their administration. In indigestion, confirmed dyspepsia, and chronic constipation, the most beneficial effects have been, and cannot but be, obtained from the rectifying power exerted by these purifying Pills over the digestion. Persons who have been restored to the enjoyment of ease, strength, and perfect health by Holloway's Pills, after fruitless trial of the whole pharmacopoeia of Physic, attest this fact.
