ST. ANN'S is beautifully situated on an elevated plateau, above the river Shournagh, commanding a view of the celebrated Castle and "Groves of Blarney," within six miles of the city of Cork, and two of the Blarney Station on the Great Southern and Western Railway. Woods extend for several miles to the north and west along the sloping banks of the river, affording an infinite variety of picturesque walks. The mildness of the climate, the freshness of the air, and the purity of the water, have long been recognised, rendering ST. ANN'S peculiarly eligible as a winter residence for invalids. Dr. HILLS, being possessed of long experience in the application of Hydrotherapeutics, combined with the Turkisli Bath, both in private practice, and as the Resident Physician for some years at the Dunoon Hydropathic Establishment, the Proprietor feels confident that the Patients and visitors will have cause to appreciate his skill as a Physician, and his kindness and courtesy as a gentleman. To the usual Hydropathic appliances and Turkish Baths already existing, there have been recently added two magnificent Turkish Baths, which will be found to embrace all the latest improvements. The table is supplied from the extensive farms of the Proprietor, famous for the production of beef, mutton, milk, and butter. The Gardens adjoining the house supplying an abundance of fruit and vegetables. There are two Billiardrooms, a Circulating Library, Croquet-grounds, a Gymnasium, well-kept Pleasure-grounds. Extensive Salmon and Trout Fishing, and Shooting attached to the establishment; three packs of Fox Hounds, a pack of Hurriers, and Otter Hounds meet in the neighbourhood. The Proprietor is resolved that no effort shall be spared to promote the comfort and happiness of Patients and Visitors. Carriages, cars and saddle-horses, are always on hire at moderate charges.
