On motion of Mr. Guernsey, the report of the committee of the whole was adopted.

SUSPENSION OF THE RULES.

Moved by Mr. Guernsey that the rules be suspended for the purpose of placing H. J. R. No. 1 on its second and third reading and its final passage.

Roll call:

Whereupon Mr. President declared that the rules had been duly suspended for the purpose above stated.

H. J. R. No. 1, having been read second and third time, the ayes and noes were called with the following result:

Whereupon Mr. President announced that H. J. R. No. 1, having received an affirmative vote of the majority of all the members elected to the Senate of the Sixth State Legislature, had duly passed the Senate.

On motion of Mr. Guernsey, the Senate stood in recess until 2 o'clock p. m.

REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE.

On rising the committee of the whole presented the following report:

Your committee of the whole, having had under consideration bills on general file, beg leave to report as follows:

That S. F. No. 5, by Mr. Rusk, a bill for an act to amend and re-enact Section 1781 of the Revised Statutes of Wyoming of 1899, relating to the levying of taxes and form of tax list, as read do pass.

That H. J. Memorial No. 1, memorializing the legislatures of Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, Utah and South Dakota to appoint a joint committee of their respective states to confer with a similar committee from the State of Wyoming for the purpose of fixing a uniform bounty for the destruction of predatory wild animals

Amend by-Strike out lines 9, 10, 11 to the word "uniform," and insert the following in lieu thereof:

"Therefore be it Resolved, That the legislatures of the states of South Dakota, Utah, Nebraska, Montana, Idaho, and Colorado be, and hereby are, memorialized to appoint, at an early date, a committee from each state legislature, to confer with a joint committee appointed, under this resolution, by the legislature of Wyoming, in regard to fixing a—”

And as so amended that said H. J. M. No. 1 do pass. That H. J. R. No. 3, by Mr. Fourt, a resolution to print 1,000 copies of the Governor's Message, as read, do pass.

That S. F. No. 6, by Mr. Davis, a bill for an act to amend and re-enact Section 1195 of the Revised Statutes of Wyoming for 1899, as amended by Committee No. 8, do pass.
