MEMORIAL.

To the Hon. Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

Your petitioners, the undersigned, would most respectfully represent and show:

First. That they are citizens and electors of the State of Wyoming.

Second. That they do most earnestly pray that your honorable body will enact a bill to repeal the License Act for Gambling in said state, as embodied in Section 2178 and 2179 of Chapter 4, page 618, of the Revised Statutes, and all other acts or parts of acts, authorizing gambling in said state.

Third. That your petitioners do further pray that your honorable body pass a bill to prohibit gambling in the state of Wyoming, and in duty bound, will ever pray. Laramie, Wyoming, Feb. 5, 1901.

Sir: I have the honor to inform your honorable body that the following titled bills were this day read a third time and passed the House by the votes indicated:

H. B. No. 112, by Special Committee appointed to investigate the Penitentiary, composed of Messrs. Dinwiddie, Black, and Gray, of the House, and Thomas and Black, of the Senate. "A bill for an act providing for the removal of all state and other convicts confined within the state under conviction and sentence to penitentiary confinement to the State Penitentiary situate at or near the City of Rawlins, in the county of Carbon, and making an appropriation for the expense thereof, for such repairs or changes as may be necessary in said State Penitentiary, and the building of such other buildings in connection with said penitentiary, and making a tax levy for the purpose of raising funds for the expense thereof, and for the repeal of Sections 644, 645 and 646 of the Revised Statutes of Wyoming."

Ayes, 32; noes, 0; absent and excused, 4.

Said H. B. No. 112 is herewith enclosed for your consideration and action.
