Whereupon the following amendments were offered to S. F. No. 19: Mr. Rusk offered the following amendments and moved the adoption thereof: Amendment No. 1. Insert in line 5, Section 2, after the word "inspector," the words "of the county in which the shipment is to be made." Amendment No. 2. Strike out of line 3, Section 7, after the word "state," the words, "except for grazing or pasturage." The motion prevailed and Mr. Vice President declared that the above amendments to said S. F. No. 19 had been adopted. Mr. Brittain offered the following amendment to said S. F. No. 19 and moved its adoption: Insert the words "or cattle," where it may appear in said bill, so as to read "horses or cattle." The motion was lost, and the amendment was not adopted.
