CONSIDERATION OF BILLS ON GENERAL FILE.

On motion of Mr. Nichols, the Senate resolved itself into a committee of the whole for the consideration of bills on the general file, Mr. Williams in the chair.

On rising, the committee of the whole presented the following report:

On motion of Mr. Davis the Senate then stood in recess

until 2 o'clock p. m.

AFTERNOON SESSION.

The Senate met at 2 o'clock p. m., Mr. President in the

chair.

PRIVILEGED REPORT.

INTRODUCTION OF JOINT RESOLUTION.

Mr. McGill asked unanimous consent to introduce a S. J. R., and there being no objection such consent was given.

Thereupon Mr. McGill introduced S. J. R. No. 2 and asked unanimous consent that the same be read second and third time and placed upon its final passage.

There being no objection, S. J. R. No. 2 was placed upon its final passage and passed by unanimous vote of all the members present.

On motion of Mr. Davis, the Senate resolved itself into a committee of the whole for the purpose of resuming consideration of bills on the general file, Mr. Williams again being called to the chair.

On rising, the committee of the whole presented the following report:
