David McCord (before 1714-1758), probably a son of William McCord (168_-1739), and his wife were killed in an Indian massacre in Lancashire County, Pennsylvania, in 1758. Some of their children later migrated to North Carolina. Their son, William McCord (ca. 1735-ca. 1804), a Revolutionary War soldier, remained in Pennsylvania. Shortly after 1758, he married Sarah Kerr. They had nine children, before 1765-1784. The family migrated to Kentucky, ca. 1793. He probably died in Nicholas County, Kentucky. Descendants listed lived in Kentucky, Indiana, Nebraska, Illinois, Kansas, Idaho and elsewhere.
