NOTICE OF THE INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.

The following notice of the introduction of bills was given:

I give notice that tomorrow or on some subsequent day I will introduce a bill for an act for the appointment of sheep inspectors and prescribing their duties and fixing their compensation, and the manner of payment of the same, and to suppress and prevent the dessemination of scab and providing penalties for the violation of this act, and for the repeal of chapter 125 of the Session Laws of the state of Wyoming for 1895, entitled an act for the appointment of sheep inspectors and prescribing their duties and fixing their compensation and the manner of the payment of the same, and providing penalties for the violation of this act, approved March 2, A. D. 1895, and repealing all acts inconsistent with the provisions of this act.

We give notice that tomorrow or on some subsequent day we will introduce a bill for an act to create and establish a state board of health and to regulate the practice of medicine, surgery and obsteterics, in the state of Wyoming.

INTRODUCTION OF RESOLUTIONS.

The following joint resolutions were introduced by unanimous consent of the senate:

Senate joint resolution No. 1, by Mr. Deloney, being a joint resolution and memorial to the congress of the United States, praying for the ceding of all unoccupied public lands within the state of Wyoming to the control of the state, was read first time and referred to the committee of the whole.

Senate joint resolution No. 2, by Mr. Deloney, being a joint and concurrent resolution providing for the appointment of a joint committee to examine into and recommend what, if any, additions shall be made to the state insane hospital at Evanston, was read first time and referred to the committee of the whole.

INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.

The following bill was introduced, read first time, ordered printed and referred as indicated:

Senate File No. 1, by Mr. Deloney, being a bill for an act relating to committment of persons insane, prescribing manner of trial, form of verdict, committment warrant, lunacy statement providing for apparel, return of patients, change of name of institution, and to repeal all laws inconsistent herewith. Referred to committee No. 1, on judiciary.

H. J. R. No. 2, by Mr. Grant, being concurrent resolution, providing for the appointment of a committee consisting of three from the house and two from the senate, to examine and report upon the work of the revision committee appointed by the third legislature, was read first time.

On motion of Mr. Fox the rules were suspended for the purpose of placing H. J. R. No. 2 upon its second and third reading and final passage, the vote thereon being as follows:

COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE.

Upon motion of Mr. McGill the senate resolved itself into

a committee of the whole for consideration of resolutions on the general file.

Upon arising the committtee of the whole made the following report:

Your committee of the whole having had under consideration resolutions on the general file, beg leave to report same back to the senate with the following recommendations:

That S. J. R. No. 1, being joint resolution and memorial to the congress of the United States, praying for the ceding of all unoccupied public lands within the state of Wyoming to the control of the state, do pass.

That S. J. R. No. 2, being a joint and concurrent resolution providing for the appointment of a joint committee examine into and recommend what, if any, additions shall be made to the state insane hospital at Evanston, be amended so that the title of said resolution shall read as follows: "A joint and concurrent resolution providing for the appointment of a joint committee to examine into and recommend what, if any, changes and additions shall be made to the state penal, educational and charitable institutions."

And that the resolution be further amended as follows: In Section 1, line 1, strike out the word "three" and insert in lieu thereof the word "five."
