SECTION 2. Said corporation, for the purposes aforesaid, may lease, take or acquire by purchase or otherwise, as provided in the following section, the water of Hart's brook, so-called, or any of its tributaries, together with such adjacent lands as may be necessary for the preservation of the purity of the water, and for the location of a standpipe; also the rights of way and easements necessary for holding and preserving said water and for conveying the same across private lands, if necessary for the purposes aforesaid ; also any water necessary for supplying that part of said town called North Hadley, and such adjacent lands as may be necessary for the preservation of the purity of the water, or for the location of a standpipe, and rights of way and easements necessary for holding and preserving said water and conveying the same across private lands, if necessary for the purposes aforesaid : provided, that no source of water supply shall be taken under this act for domestic purposes without the advice
