THIRD READING OF BILLS.

House bill No. 262 (file No. 228), entitled

A bill to amend section 2 of act No. 63 of the laws of 1861, relative to the Wesleyan seminary, at Albion, and the Albion female collegiate institute, Was read a third time and passed, a majority of all the Senators elect voting therefor, by yeas and nays as follows:

By a vote of two-thirds of all the Senators elect, the bill was ordered to take immediate effect.

Senate bill No. 252 (file No. 163), entitled

A bill to amend section 2 of chapter 2, as amended by act No. 407 of the laws of 1879, of an act entitled "An act to revise the charter of the city of Detroit," approved February 5, 1857,

Was read a third time, and pending the taking of the vote thereon,

By unanimous consent,

Mr. Greusel moved to amend the bill by striking from section 2, lines 2 and 3, the following:

"A clerk of the recorder's court, who shall be appointed on the recommendation of the recorder;"

Which motion prevailed, and the bill was so amended.

The bill, as amended, was then passed, a majority of all the Senators elect voting therefor, by yeas and nays, as follows:

On motion of Mr. Greusel,

By a vote of two-thirds of all the Senators elect, the bill was ordered to take immediate effect.

Senate bill No. 175 (file No. 166), entitled

A bill to amend act No. 165 of the session laws of 1875, entitled "An act to facilitate the collection of damage for trespass on lands," approved April 29, 1875,

Was read a third time and passed, a majority of all the Senators elect voting therefor, by yeas and nays, as follows:
