By our dear Redeemer's side, Shoating glory, glory, glory, While eternal ages glide.

HYMN 31. P. M.

Now the truth is gaining ground,
By the testimony,
Weighty testimony sound,

Sweeter than the honey;
Humble souls begin to see
Into the heavenly mystery;
And they hold and preach and sing,
Christ the great salvation,
Let their testimony ring

Through the whole creation.
2. Now the rich eternal world,
Like the powerful leaven,
Opens to the saints of God,
Mysteries of heaven;
In this opening they behold
Things most clearly, new and old,
And the opening life within,

Moves the proclamation,

Let the testimony ring,

Through the whole creation.

3. Faithful souls, who watch and pray

Overcome temptation,

And the light of gospel day,
Gives them revelation;

And the revelations give

Food which keeps there souls alive;' And they live, and rise and sing Hearty adoration;

Let the testimony ring

Through the whole creation. 4. Now the dragon is afraid He shall lose dominion ; Now he's calling to his aid Every false opinion;

Hypocrites and sinners too,
Help compose his army now,
And he's plac'd his servants round,
Some in every nation;
Hear their vile reproaches sound
Through the whole creation.

5. But the lovely prince of peace,
Sometimes called Michael,
With a band of humble saints,
Gives the dragon battle,
And the only weapon used,
Is the spirit's word of truth
And with this they cut and sing
In their proper station;
Let their testimony ring
Through the whole creation.
6. In the battle thus engag'd
In this age reviving,

Though the dragon is enrag'd,
Saints will overcome him,

By the blood of Christ the Lamb,
Testifying in his name;

Thus they'll take the ground and sing
Christ the great salvation;

Let the testimony ring

Through the whole creation.

7. Hearken, poor, half-hearted souls Shunning self-denial;

While the testimony calls,

Do not fear the trial;

While you see this ardent strife,
Never strive to save your life ;
Now give up to Christ as King,
He's the great salvation ;
Let the testimony ring

Through the whole creation.

3. Now if any want to know
How to join the army
Under Jesus, and will go

Against the prince of darkness,-
Wicked self must be denied,
Strive to mortify your pride,
And let Jesus be your King,
And your whole salvation;
Let this testimony ring
Through the whole creation.

HYMN 32. P. M.

HOW happy, how loving, how joyful I feel,
I want to feel more love, yea more love and zeal;
I want my love perfect, I want my love pure,
That all things with patience I well may endure.
2. I want to be little more meek and more mild,
More like my blest Master, and more like a child;
More watchful, more prayerful, more lowly in mind,
More thankful, more gentle, more loving and kind.
3. I want to have wisdom that comes from above,
I want my heart filled with the purest of love :
I want my faith stronger, my anchor-hope sure,
And like a good soldier all hardships endure.
4. I want to be stripped of all human pride,
All malice and anger I would lay aside;
From sin and from bondage I want to be free,
And live, my dear Savior, live only to thee.

5.

While suffering, enduring, in duty believe,
Forgiving, if any my spirit should grieve;
Remembering at all times to watch and to pray,
And set out anew and begin every day.

6. My treasure in heaven I want to lay up;
Where no moth and no rust will ever corrupt,
Where no thief or robber will venture or dare,
My heart and my treasure I want should be there.
My faith and my hope, and my love and my zeal,
I want them deep rooted within for to feel;
My light I want clear, that beholders may see
How farth and good works in sweet union agree.
8. My union I want with the Father and Son,
I want that perfected which grace has begun,
With love and sweet union that sooths every care,
And with my dear brethren all burdens to bear.
9. Come love and sweet union, to thee do I call,
I want to feel more love, yea more lovo to all;
O come my beloved, come hasten to me,
And fill up my vessel! full as it can be."

10. Come brethren and sisters, both aged and youth.

And all who are willing to walk in the truth;
Come fill up your vessels with union and love,
Then on our blest journey we'll joyfully anove.
11. When time is no more, from earth we'll remove
To dwell in the region of pure light and love,
With Jesus our Savior, and all holy men,
We'll sing ballelujah forever, Amen.

HYMN 33. P. M.

THIS morning most sweetly the gates are all blow Directly the breeze is from Mount Calvary, fing, The sepulchre is open, the odors are flowing;

Breathe gently, sweet zephyrs, breathe gently on On this lovely morning the Savior was rising, [me! The chains of mortality fully despising,

His sufferings are over, he's done agonizing--
This morning my Savior will think upon me.
2. And now to the place that's appointed for praying,
For worship that's social, P'il quickly repair;
In service so pleasing, there needs no delaying,

The stone is roll'd back, and my Lord will be there:
Rouse quickly, my soul, shake off thy dull slumbers,
In melody raise all your heavenly numbers,
For Jesus is pleas, when re-counting his members,
He finds you like Mary thus early at prayer.
3. With faith in full action, we meet at the chapel,
There humbly we ask for a power divine;
Immanuel puts all our souls in a rapture,
And graciously causes his glory.to shine;
Our hearts are enliven'd, affections engag'd,
Devotion inspires us, and sinners amaz'd,

Behold with wha! zeal christians warfare is wag's Against the fell monster and all his designs.

4

Then trusting in Jesus, our head and our leader, We'll march on to glory without any fear, Each Sabbath revolving brings one Sabbath neater To that blessed morning when he shall appear. His sign in the east he will soon be displaying, The nations to judgment will then be all gathering, Till then we'll adore him, nor ever cease praying,

Till praises unceasing shall call us from prayer.
