SENATE, January 29, 1877.

Ordered, That a special committee of three be appointed to present the thanks of the Senate to the Rev. B. F. Hamilton for the able and appropriate sermon preached before the legislative and executive departments of the government on the third instant, and request a copy of the same for publication.

Adopted, and Messrs. Moors of Franklin, Brown of Essex, and Sherman of Middlesex are appointed the committee.

DEAR SIR:-By a vote of the Senate, passed January 30, the undersigned were appointed a committee to express the thanks of the Senate to you for the able and appropriate sermon preached before the executive and legislative departments of the government on the 3d of January, and to request a copy for publication.
