He was a member of the historical societies of Virginia, New York, Mary-" land, Wisconsin, and Illinois, the American Historical Association, and ither sclentific bodies. He was the author of "History of the Early Settlement and Indian Wars of West Virginia," "History of West Virginia," "Prehistoric America." and "The Mound Builders." Died 1910, |
