The PRESIDENT pro tempore laid before the Senate the amendment of the House of Representatives to the bill (S. 1532) to regulate com merce, which was to strike out all after the enacting clause and insert a substitute. On motion by Mr. CULLOM, it was Resolved, That the Senate disagree to the said amendment and agree to the conference asked by the House on the disagreeing votes of the two Houses thereon.
