A bill to provide for the issuing, delivering or depositing patents to swamp lands, and to provide for the assessment and taxation of such lands,

Was read a third time and passed, a majority of all the Senators elect voting therefor, by yeas and nays, as follows:

By a vote of two-thirds of all the Senators elect, the bill was ordered to take immediate effect.

Senate bill No. 164, entitled

A bill to provide for the graduation of the price of swamp lands, and to authorize payment thereon in swamp land scrip, Was read a third time, and pending the taking of the vote on the passage thereof,

Mr. Mills, a majority of the Senate consenting thereto, moved to amend the bill, by striking out in line 8, of section 2, the words "two dollars," and inserting in place thereof the words "one dollar and a quarter;"

Which motion did not prevail.

The bill was then passed, a majority of all the Senators elect voting therefor, by yeas and nays, as follows:

By a vote of two-thirds of all the Senators elect, the bill was ordered to take immediate effect.

Ottawa county, to Muskegon, in Muskegon county, to be known as the Nunica and Muskegon State road;" also, act No. 166, of the session laws of 1865, entitled "An act to provide for the drainage and reclamation of swamp lands, by means of a road to be known as the "Port Hope and Wild Fowl Bay State road;" also, act No. 80, of the session laws of 1865, entitled "An act to provide for the laying out, opening and establishing of a certain State road, in the township of Shiawassee, in the county of Shiawassee,'

Was read a third time and passed, a majority of all the Senators elect voting therefor, by yeas and nays, as follows:

The title of the bill was amended by striking out the words "also, act No. 166, of the session laws of 1865, entitled an act to provide for the drainage and reclamation of swamp lands by means of a road to be known as the Port Hope and Wild Fowl Bay State road,"

Title, as thus amended, agreed to.
