(a) The fuel and furniture for this Establishment are supplied by the Office of Works, and the cost is included in the Civil Service Estimates. (b) When the appointment is filled by a retired officer, 150l. in addition to retired pay; when by an officer on the active list, the pay of his rank. The appointment is at present filled by a Lieut.-Colonel of the Royal Army Medical Corps with pay at ll. 10s. 0d. a day. (c) In addition to 100l. a year from the Unclaimed Army Prize Fund for services rentered to the Royal Hospital, Chelsea. (d) These are the rates for Warrant Officers.
