Feb. 23. Died in Scotland, the fecond fon of Alexander Murray, Efq; of Black barony, Member of Parliament for the county of Peebles.

25. In Portland-freet, Cavendish-fquare, the Right Hon. Lady Caroline, Baronefs Forrefter, relict to the late George Cockburne, Efq; Comptroller of the Navy; and is tucceeded in title by her only daughter, now the Right Hon. Anna Maria Forrefter.

27. Mis Margaret Rivers, fecond daughBer of the Rev. Sir Peter Rivers Gay, Bart. Prebendary of Winchester.

28. At Sproughton, Sir Robert Harland, Bart. Admiral of the Blue. He was made a Lieutenant in the navy, February 25, 1742, a Captain March 19, 1746, and an Admiral O&tober 28, 1770. On the 19th of March 1771, he was created a Baronet of this kingdom, and appointed to the command in the Eaft Indies in the fame year. He is foccerded in title by his only fou, now Sir Robert Haland, Bart. a Cornet in the first regiment of dragoons.

February 29th, at her Royal Highness the Princefs Amel a's houfe in Cavendith-fquare, Mrs. Catherine Middleton, Spinster, daughter of the late Sir William Middleton, of Belfay Caftle in Northumberland, and Bedchamber woman to her Royal Highness the Princels Amelia.

At his houfe in Old Burlington-fireet, the Honourable the Champion, John Dymoke, Efq. who is fucceeded in title and effate by his eldest fon, Lewis Dymoke, Efq. now Champion of England.

8. At her houfe in Hampton, Middlefex, Catharine Countefs Dowager of Litchfield, relict of Robert, Earl of Litchfield, and fifier of Sir James Stonhouse, Bart. of Rodley, in the county of Berks.

IT. At Manchetier, Mr. George Harding, aged 111. He ferved as a private foldier in the reigns of Queen Anne, George I. and George II. and obtained his discharge foon after the Scotch rebellion.

At his houfe at Walthamflow, Charles Garth, Efq. one of his Majesty's Honourable Commiffioners of the Excife, Recorder for the Borough of Devizes, and formerly one of the reprefentatives of that place.

14. At Newbury, Rear Admiral Thorpe Fowke.

27. A few days ago at Llan Vair y Med in Anglefea, Hogh Rowland Hughes, gear. aged 114 years, II months, and 27 days. He was born March 1, 1670, married in the year 1700, and had nine children; he was married the fecond time in 1734, and had five children; he was married the third time, and had two children, viz. Hugh Evan Hughes, the Welch poet, and a daughter; and in the year 1748 he married his fourth wife, whom he left a widow with feven chil dren, all men and women now alive; S4 of his offspring were at his burying in Amlwick church on St. David's day last.

lection, a fcrutiny was demanded on the part of Mr. Atkinfon. The Lord Mayor accordingly iffued out his precept to the feveral companies to deliver to each can didate true copies of their livery. The difpute lying betwixt Mr. Sawbridge and Mr. Atkinson, fcrutineers were ap pointed by each party. The Sheriffs, CanThurfdidates and Scrutineers, met on day the 16th to confult their plan. Mr. 4554 Atkinfon's fcrutineers made the following 4471 propofals, which were next day answered 3823 by thofe on the part of Mr. Sawbridge as ift. 3816
