The Counties of Buena Vista, Clay, Emmett, Ida, O'Brien and Sioux, have not reported to this office. The total population of said Counties in 1860, was 218. The Counties of Crawford, Montgomery and Wright did not report the number of dwelling houses. The State has in the military service of the United States forty Regiments Infantry, nine Regiments Cavalry, and four Batteries.
